Tamsui Ke Ko Fishball 淡水可口鱼丸

This is an old eatery with a history of 50 years in Tamsui, famous for their fishballs stuffed with meat. It is along Tamsui street and relatively easy to find. I decided to give it a try.

Upon stepping into the eatery, you can choose to find a place to sit first or place your order immediately at the 'counter' near the shop front. It is all self-service so once you have placed an order, pay and wait for awhile and all your food will be placed on the tray infront of you.

The menu is on the wall inside the eatery. I wanted to try the fishballs and dumplings but ordering two separate bowls will be too much. I decided to try the combination of fishballs and dumplings. I also ordered a pork bun.

My breakfast for the day

Everything was served straight from the pot so the food was hot. Time to taste them.

I tried the famous fishballs first. Nice. I was worried that it would taste like Fuzhou fishballs which I did not really enjoy eating. Luckily, it tasted more delicious than that. The dumplings were nice too. As for the pork bun, you may leave that out.

Some customers even buy these fishballs in bulk which explains why they have buckets and buckets of them around the eatery.
